Ian Saunders
Owner

Ian is the owner of Otford Nursery, He is trained to level 5 in childcare. Ian is also one of our designated safeguarding officers within the nursery & Oasis. 
 

Carole-Anne Wakefield
Administator 

Carole-Anne Join the Otford nursery team in 2007.  She is trained to level 3 in childcare and is responsible for all admissions and the administrative  side of the nursery. 
 

Ally Doyle
Manager

Ally joined the Otford Nursery team in 2009. She is trained to level 3 in childcare. Ally is responsible for the day to day running of the nursery and is also our designated safeguarding officer. 

Hayley Lund
Deputy Manager & SENCO

Hayley joined the Otford Nursery & Oasis team in 2014. She is trained to Level 3 in Childcare. She is the settings Deputy Manager & Special Needs Coordinator.

 

Amber Saunders
Nursery Practitioner

Amber joined Otford Nursery in 2014.  She is trained to level 3 in childcare and is the phonics coordinator. 

Niamh Lund
Nursery Practitioner

Niamh joined the Otford Nursery & Oasis team in 2016 .  She is trained to level 3 in childcare.

Rebecca Peters

Nursery Practitioner

Amy Ayliffe 

Nursery Practitioner 

Becky joined the Otford Nusery team in 2017. She is currently training to become a nursery practitioner. Becky has a degree in French.

Amy  joined the Otford Nursery team in 2018. She is currently training to become a nursery practitioner.  

Staff Qualifications

All staff at Otford Nursery are either Qualified or studying for a childcare diploma or certificate involving at least 2 years training and all hold Paediatrics first aid certificates. 

 

 

Staff training and development

Continuous staff development is provided through: 

  •  regular whole-team training meetings for needs identified within the nursery

  • frequent staff meetings

  • a staff training programme created on an annual basis using external/online courses according to staff development needs.

The owner holds individual reviews three times a year with every member of the team. They also carry out observations of staff in action/ peer observations followed by feedback sessions, to be able to support staff in continuing to improve practice.
