Otford Nursery School Ofsted Number: 127422
Otford nursery school is situated in the grounds of Otford Primary School. We are a teaching nursery, with children learning through play and fun activities. The nursery has an enclosed garden/play area and the children will spend some time each day outside, weather permitting.
AGE OF ADMITTANCE
Otford Nursery School takes children from two to five years of age. Small children will often feel very insecure when leaving you for the first time. At the nursery we are very aware of this and we will work together with you to find a strategy that works for your child. For example, it often helps if you pick up your child after a short time initially, rather than at the end of three hours. (Staff are always available to discuss any concerns you have).
HOURS OF OPENING
The nursery is open from 9.00 am – 12.00 pm Monday to Friday and from 12.30 pm – 3.30 pm Monday to Friday. An all day session is 9.00 am – 3.30 pm. Children who stay all day may either bring a packed lunch or, for an additional charge, they can have a school dinner. Children may also stay for lunch after a morning session or before an afternoon session.
ENROLMENT/FEES
Children may enroll for up to ten sessions with a minimum of two sessions per week. A deposit of £30.00 is required on enrolment which is deducted from the first term’s fees. Please do not send a deposit unless an allocated place has been confirmed.
The cost of each session is as follows:
Sessions Lunches
9.00 am – 12.00 pm £11.70 12.00 pm – 1.00 pm £3.80
12.30 pm – 3.30 pm £11.70 12.00 pm – 12.30 pm £2.40
Fees must be paid termly, in advance. The fees are due on the first day of term and cheques should be made payable to Otford Nursery School.
A half term’s notice is required to cancel a place or a half term’s fees may be paid in lieu. Failure to pay on time may lead to your child losing his/her place.
The Early Years Nursery grant is in operation at the nursery and the value of the grant will be deducted from your termly bill. Parents will be informed when their child becomes eligible for the grant. Details concerning the grant system are available from Mr Saunders.
